“Battle of the Bluegrass” Ultimate Super Late Model Series Heads to 191 Saturday for $3000 to Win Wince Mayabb Memorial

(Carnesville, Georgia) 7/5/2016 – The next stop on the $350,000, 22 event “Battle of The Bluegrass” Ultimate Super Late Model Touring Series schedule is slated for this Saturday at 191 Speedway in southeastern Kentucky. The 5/16-mile speed planet located between Campton and Hazel Green is owned and operated by Kevin Mayabb who has chalked up nearly 30 years in racing at just about every level imaginable.

191 Speedway, 5/16’s of a mile in length and 75 wide, is banked 15 degrees at both ends of the speedway and 12 degrees on both the front and back straightaways. While racers generally associate speed with banking, 191 boasts of quick lap times due to the easy transitions at 191 exiting the corners on to each straightaway.

Ultimate “Battle of The Bluegrass” Super Late Model Series driver Derek Fisher of Olympia Kentucky is the current track record holder having circled 191 at a lightning quick 13.002 seconds. Fisher has also notched numerous victories at 191 as well, with the most recent win occurring just a few weeks ago in the Super Late Model Earl Stollings Memorial on June 11.

While Fisher could well have some momentum heading into Saturday night, current Ultimate “Battle of The Bluegrass” Super late Model Series points leader Jeremy Hines of Seymour, Indiana and Bryantsville, Kentucky driver Dustin Linville can both be counted on to break Fishers momentum at 191 along with Jason Jameson of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Michel Chilton of Harrodsburg, Kentucky

With $17,000 up for grabs where the winning driver banks $3,000, other contenders in the Ultimate “Battle of The Bluegrass” Super Late Model portion of Saturday’s Wine Mayabb Memorial at 191 could include Brandon Fouts who bested Fisher on June 5 with a win at 191 Speedway. Drivers Steve Stollings, Jamie Ferguson, Chris Combs and Jonathan Couch can usually all be found in the top 5 on a regular basis at 191 Speedway as well

In addition to the Ultimate “Battle of The Bluegrass” Super Late Model Series on Saturday, other divisions that will see action are Open Wheel Modified, KDRA Super Stock, Sports mod and Stock 4 Cylinder.
