2016 Class Rules & Payouts

GENERAL TRACK AND SAFETY RULES

  1. All complaints to the officials must be done at the conclusion of the night once all feature races are complete in all classes. Then and only then you may bring your complaint to the tower. Anyone interrupting an official during the course of the event, whether it is the driver or crew member, will forfeit their prize money and points for that event.
  2. Anyone that has a question (not complaint) may ask a track official at the entrance or exit gate or come to the tower anytime between races or during intermission.
  3. Anyone going to the flag stand and interrupting the flagman during the course of the event will be escorted off the premises immediately.
  4. All classes except 4 cylinder stock will have a 18 car field at the discretion of the track officials.
  5. All cars shall have a minimum of a 2.5 lb fire extinguisher that is properly secured.
  6. All cars shall have a 5 point safety harness properly secured to the frame.
  7. All drivers shall have an approved fireproof jacket and pants. Fireproof gloves and shoes are strongly recommended.
  8. All drivers shall have an approved full face helmet.
  9. All cars must have registered number 18″ tall in contrasting colors on both doors and on roof facing driver’s side. Drivers full name MUST appear on both sides of the roof, above the doors. No profanity or suggestive slogans may appear on the car.
  10. RACECEIVERS are mandatory in all classes.

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

Open Wheel Modified

Extreme Auto KDRA Super Stock

  1. Must have stock frame that extends to at least the center of the rear end. Tube frame and front clip only cars not allowed.
  2. Weight jacks allowed.
  3. 1 shock per wheel no coil overs
  4. Control arms can be aftermarket type.
  5. 3000 lbs minimum weight
  6. No J Bars, No Pull Bars, No Lift Bars, No Coil Over Shocks, No Brake Floaters.
  7. Leaf spring rear suspension acceptable
  8. Coil spring cars will use factory design ex.-metric cars will have 2 upper and 2 lower trailing arms
  9. The center of the #1 spark plug must be centered with front ball joint.
  10. 104″ wheel base minimum.
  11. Steel, Composite or Aluminum body panels will be permitted. Aftermarket stock appearing plastic nose is permitted. No wedge late model type front nose pieces allowed.
  12. 8″ maximum rear spoiler permitted. No other spoilers permitted.
  13. Cast iron blocks only, no aluminum blocks.
  14. Cast iron heads only, no aluminum heads.
  15. MSD ignition boxes allowed.
  16. No traction control devices of any kind allowed
  17. Only 1 carburetor permitted, naturally aspirated. Gas only. No alcohol, methanol, nitrous.
  18. Any Transmission 
  19. 9″ Ford rear ends are permitted. No Quick Change rear ends allowed.
  20. All wheels must be steel 8″ maximum with 1″ lug nuts.
  21. Racing wheels and bead locks permitted.
  22. Tires

Sport Mod

  1. UMP/AMRA/ Modified chassis, body and frame rules.
  2. Shocks
    • Steel CRIMPED / SPUN tube top and bottom, non-adjustable, non-rebuildable. Must have a fixed bearing and can have a removable heim joint. (No Schrader valves or remote reservoir shocks of any kind.) NO bump Stops.
    • No Coilovers
    • Approved shocks are AFCO – 1400 series, 1200 series INTEGRA – 4200 series P/N 310-421XX PRO SHOCKS – WB Series P/N WBXX
  3.  Transmission
    • Bert, Brinn, Falcon or OEM.
    • Must have operational forward and reverse gears.
    • Blow-Proof Bell housing recommended.
  4. Rear Ends
    • OEM or Quickchange
    • No limited slip devices allowed. May run full spool, mini spool, or welded rear only.
    • All Components Must be Steel. No lightened or light weight components allowed.
    • Minimum Pan-hard bar length 19″ center to center of bolt holes.
    • One pull bar or lift arm only.
    • No coil-overs any where.
    • No gun-drilled axles.
  5. Tires and Wheels
    • 8 inch steel wheels only
    • No aluminum wheels, hubs, calipers or A-frames or any other suspension parts allowed. Plastic wheels are not allowed. Calipers cannot be lightened and must be OEM. Rotors cannot be lightened or drilled
    • Any 8″ racing tire
  6. Drive Shaft
    • Drive shaft hoop is required and must be constructed of at least ¼” by 2″ steel and should be mounted at least 6″ back from front of drive shaft. Drive shaft must be painted white. 2″minimum diameter steel shaft
  7.  Engine
    • Chevy 350, Ford 302 or 351W, Mopar 340 or 360.
    • Maximum cubic inch limit of 390
    • OEM cast iron block only. No aftermarket blocks allowed
    • OEM cast iron cylinder heads only. No aftermarket heads allowed
    • No canted value (Cleveland style) heads allowed
    • No screw in studs allowed
    • No guide plates allowed
    • Stock steel stamped rocker arms only. No aftermarket rocker arms allowed
    • Stock diameter valve springs only
    • Camshaft-Hydraulic camshaft only. No roller camshafts allowed must pull (15in) of vacuum at 1000 RPM’s. Must have access to vacuum port in manifold. No 4-7 swaps.
    • Must be wet sump only (in the pan) no external oil pump of any kind.
    • Aftermarket headers OK
    • Any cast iron or aluminum intake allowed
    • Unaltered Holley 2 barrel 4412 carb only. Quickfuel XP or Holley Ultra XP or HP are not allowed. Venturi and base plate must retain stock size
    • No grinding or polishing of any kind allowed. All carburetor components manufactured by Holley. No Aftermarket base plates, metering blocks or carb bodies allowed. No milling or grinding of throttle shaft allowed, shaft must stay round. The choke and air horn may be removed, this is the only re-working allowed, must have stock measurements. Carb gauges will be used.
    • OEM style fuel pump only. No electric or belt driven pumps allowed.
    • No trigger type ignitions and/or crank trigger type ignitions: MSD or HEI (OEM) is permitted.

Stock 4 Cylinder

  1. Any car or truck that came from the factory with a single or dual cam 4 cylinder engine permitted.
  2. Steel body must be used. Aftermarket replacement body components allowed but must be Steel. No aluminum bodies or body panels allowed.
  3. Stock engine type that came in the car/truck must be run. No aftermarket blocks, heads, or intakes allowed. Engine modifications allowed but block, head, and intake must remain stock.
  4. Aluminum heads permitted on engines that came from the factory with an aluminum head. No aftermarket heads allowed.
  5. Fuel injection permitted on engines that came from the factory with fuel injection. No aftermarket fuel injection allowed.
  6. Stock type intakes only. No aftermarket intakes allowed.
  7. Aftermarket headers will be allowed.
  8. All glass, mirrors, body molding and trim must be removed. All insulation and any other combustible material must be removed. Pedals must remain stock. Dash may be modified for roll cage clearance.
  9. A box type 6 point roll cage of 1 1/2″ X .095 wall minimum steel tubing is required. Roll cage legs must be welded to 1/8″ plates, 4″ X 8″ minimum size. Truck frames may use a 2″ X 3″ tubing to construct a perimeter frame to attach roll cage and door bars. Doors on both sides must have 3 bars, 1 1/2″ X .095 minimum. Passenger side may be an “X” but must have 3 bars. The roll cage must be a box over, behind and in front of driver. The hoop behind the driver must have a diagonal brace. Roof loop must have a center bar. Extra bracing inside the cockpit is allowed.
  10. Doors must be welded or chained shut. Windshield must be replaced with heavy gauge wire mesh. 3 bars of 3/8″ diameter must be welded to the roll cage in front of driver.
  11. Stock suspension only. Absolutely no modified suspension components of any kind will be permitted. This includes weight jacks, adjustable rod ends, etc. Replacement bushings ok.
  12. Strut towers may be reinforced. Right front hubs may be reinforced. Wheel centers may be reinforced. Larger wheel studs and nuts are recommended.
  13. Street type radial tires only. Racing tires and recaps are strictly prohibited. Hoosier and American Racer tires prohibited.
  14. 13″ or 14″ tires only. 15″ tires prohibited.
  15. Aftermarket wheels allowed. Maximum width is 8″. No bead lock wheels.
  16. Fuel cell in steel can, or steel tank may be securely mounted in trunk. It must have a firewall between the tank and driver. Must meet the safety mans approval.
  17. Battery must be securely fastened down, if in cockpit it must be completely enclosed. Must run battery master disconnect switch within reach of driver.
  18. Racing seat mandatory. A quick release 5 point racing type seat belt is required. Seat and seat belts must mount to frame or roll cage, and meet safety mans approval.
  19. Must wear approved helmet and fire suit.
